Eight Silk Brocade Qi Meridian front
Eight Silk Brocade, Qi Meridian Back
Qi is the Chinese word for “life energy”. It is the animation power that energises all living things. Its flow and abundance is a measure of health.

For example, a healthy body has more Qi than a body that is diseased and it also provides a totally unobstructed path to the flow of its Qi.

The natural world is alive with Qi. When we appreciate all that inhabits it - animals, fish, birds, flowers, trees, mountains, rivers, oceans and even the floating clouds - we are connecting with this Qi energy and intuitively, are re-uniting ourselves with this whole, our natural state.

In the human body, the Qi flows through a network of channels known as meridians. The mapping of meridians dates back thousands of years, and is used today in clinical practices by acupuncturists, massage therapists, herbalists and healers.

With the
Ba Duan Jin program we reduce the stagnation of Qi in our body, and increase its flow so that every pathway to our internal organs is free of obstacles and fluid.
