Sharon Liu is the founder of Fountain of Youth Qi, and the principal instructor of Daoyin Yangshenggong, the ancient Chinese Art of Healing. She has diploma from Beijing Sport University on Daoyin Yangshenggong. and Tai Chi
Born and raised in Changsha, Hunan, China, Sharon learned Qi Gong and Tai Chi from a very young age. She studied and trained in Tai Chi (Taiji Quan) under respected masters and qualified instructors from top Tai Chi (Taiji) institutes, universities and professional teams in China. When Sharon moved to Canada, she put aside the age-old practices of Tai Chi to make room for a new culture and to start a family. The result was a negative toll on her health and wellbeing. It was a few years later, in late 2012, that Sharon tired, overweight and depressed, re-discovered the revitalizing power of those ancient teachings. She introduced a gentle exercise practice into her daily routine, and soon realized a lifting of the heavy blanket of darkness that surrounded her. Based on this realization, she decided to develop a program to teach exercises based on Daoyin Yangshenggong and to share her personal experience and professional knowledge. In 2017, Sharon attended Beijing University Associate Wushu Championship, and participated in several Tai Chi competitions. Her achievements include: champion of the wushu group competition; second place in the Women Tao Ji Equipment; fourth place in the Women Tai Ji Quan. She won first place in the Ba Dun Jin in the Daoyin Yangshenggong Championship of Beijing Sport University Daoyin Yangshenggong competition, In February 2018, Sharon Liu was accepted by Professor Zhang Guangde, the developer of the Daoyin Qigong system at Beijing Sport University, as his follower and student. Concurrently, Fountain of Youth Qi became the first and only organization in Canada authorized to represent the “Daoyin Yanshenggong Institution” – one of 27 other such authorities world-wide. |
